Brazil
The end as exodus: the world becomes too heavy to live in, and the people walk away from it.

Brazil is the archive's home for the Tupi-Guarani Land Without Evil (Yvy mara ey): a promised earth where nothing perishes, sought by prophets and sung into being by dancing peoples who migrated toward it — especially after the conquest made the present world unbearable. Documented by Nimuendajú in 1914 and read by Hélène and Pierre Clastres as the purest case of apocalyptic prophetism, it is the end of the world told as a walking away.
